On Mother’s day the Lord spoke clearly to 1027 about the culture of adoption that is emerging in our church and, hopefully, the Church as a whole.  We were encouraged by God’s grace and compassion as we looked at James 1 and the biblical mandate to take care of orphans.  We believe that in the days ahead God will continue to encourage us to adopt, help others adopt, pray for the adopting and the adopted, and celebrate in the process with our friends & family at 1027.  The generous people at icareaboutorphans.org gave us a box full of their incredible 20-page booklet that will be a beautiful resource for us as we take this journey together.  In addition…we found this beautiful story of some friends of 1027 that we wanted you to see.  Pure religion….GO!
