1027 Church desires to become a beacon in the night, leading the bent and broken on their way home. We believe that the Church is a brilliant light that floods the darkness of midtown Atlanta and selflessly offers hope to anyone who will recieve it. We are not limited by space, buildings, or property, but instead consider people our greatest asset. Attached to Matthew 5, we desire to cultivate a community that is passionate about the Glory of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit. A community that incessantly shouts out to God "You have done great things!"
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:14-16
Leading people to become passionate Christ followers!
Wherever your love is spent, that is where you will find your passion. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior you naturally fall in love with Him and ultimately you are compelled to follow His love, example, and teachings. 1027 Church fervently seeks to share the way of Jesus with people, so that they might fall in love with the Hope of the World, Jesus Christ, and desperately seek to love as He loved.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:29-31
