Top 10 Ways to Love Your Neighbor:

10. Throw a Superbowl party with your Community Group and invite your neighbors
9. Serve at Atlanta Community Food Bank with your Community Group
8. Prayerwalk the city with your Community Group
7. Take a stroll through Piedmont Park with a dog treat, give it away and start up a conversation with the dog owner
6. With a friend or two, bake a treat and take it to your local fire station, police station, or school
5. Ask a neighbor if you can watch their kids for a few hours so they can go out
4. With a friend, your family, or your Community Group, reach out to the Carver Boys & Girls Club for tutoring, taking snacks, or helping with play time
3. Hold Coffee-on-the-Go with your Community Group
2. Pray for three people through the month of February
1. Pray for an opportunity to share your faith—then take that opportunity

I going to ask that Monday through Friday you invest 15 minutes into Bible study and Prayer. If you are student or single is will look like 7 1/2 minutes in Bible Study, and 7 1⁄2 in prayer. Or it could be 5 Bible Study, 5 minutes in prayer, and 5 minutes praying with a friend, co-worker or neighbor.

Married Couples this would look like 5 minutes in study, 5 minutes in prayer, 5 minutes in prayer with your spouse and extra bonus 5 minutes praying with your whole family.

We understand this is last minute, but somehow we missed the news that the Atlanta Marathon is shutting down several neighborhood streets this Sunday, and Virginia Ave happens to be one of those streets. Because of this, we will not be having church at Inman Middle School on Sunday. If you are thinking “Aw shucks! What will I do on Sunday?” may we suggest going to brunch with some friends or neighbors, and get to know them a bit better.

I know this is kind of a bummer in the news department, but lets make the most of it 1027church.

**If you have a second, please reach out to some folks in your community group or friends at church in case they are unable to get to their email to get this message.**

I will miss you all this Sunday, but will anticipate getting back together with everyone on Sunday November 6th when we will finish up “The Beauty of Marriage.”

During the week of November 6th – 13th. We are asking you to ask your co-workers, neighbors and friends to donate food to give to Atlanta Community Food Bank. We will take all the collected food on Monday, November 14th to ACFB. Please see Ryan about getting some collection BAGS.

On Sunday,November 6th please bring a sack lunch for after church we will eat at John Howell Park and then going out in teams to Virginia-Highland neighborhood from 12:30 am – 2 pm. We will return to collect the food on Sunday, Nov. 13. Please contact Ryan Pittman (ryan.pittman9@gmail.com) to sign-up so that we can make up teams for the routes. If you would like to be paired with anyone, let us know that too.

We are gonna be tackling this as a church this year, both individually and through Community Groups. Our goal is to gather 50 boxes plus the shipping fee of $7 along with each box. November 20th is the OCC Collection day, so talk about this within community groups as it approaches.

If you are not in a Community Group, talk to Pastor Tim or Pastor Thomas for what you need to know.
