What denomination is your church?
We are southern Baptist in our faith, doctrine, and association. Not only are there endless biblical truths that our heritage affixes us to, but Southern Baptist Churches fund the 3rd largest disaster relief organization in the world, train more African American pastors than anyone else, and employ over 6,000 missionaries all over the world full time through a brilliant collaborative effort called the cooperative program. So you can see why we’re actually quite proud of where we come from and we’d love the chance to tell you more about it! That being said, some of our closest friends include the Presbyterians, Anglicans, EV Free, Methodists, and pretty much anybody else who celebrates Jesus Christ as the Hope of the world and who huddles around the Apostles Creed.

Do you have childcare?
Indeed! 1027 believes that the family is at the center of who we are as a church…so we choose to worship through song and prayer as a family (even babies!), then, before the sermon starts, kids age infant to 5th grade are invited to kidscommunity where they can engage in crazy fun activities while they learn the eternal truths of the Gospel.

Why don’t you have a building and a steeple?
• We’re a relatively new church with strong priorities to take responsibility for our neighborhood and our city before we take on the responsibility of a mortgage and a facility.
• Church by definition is people who love God, each other, and their community.
• We’d rather spend our money on people who are thirsty and hungry, the city of Atlanta, and helping people share the good news of Jesus all over the world
• We love Inman Middle School!
